Study: recycling and green habits don't distract people from climate action
A four-year study of nearly 2,800 Australians found that everyday green habits — recycling, greener diets and other personal climate choices — neither increased nor reduced people's support for major environmental reforms. The findings directly challenge the claim that individual climate actions distract from systemic political engagement. Researchers concluded that personal and political climate action are not in competition.
