Fake QR codes in Crimea tricked residents into funding Ukrainian military

Residents of Russian-occupied Crimea unknowingly funded the Ukrainian military by scanning fake QR codes when attempting to purchase fuel at petrol stations. Instead of accessing petrol, their payments were redirected to Ukrainian armed forces. The operation reportedly involved replacing legitimate QR codes at fuel stations with fraudulent ones.
