Medicine tops Polish university admissions with up to 38 applicants per place
This year's Polish university admissions saw medicine become the most competitive field, with some universities recording up to 35–38 applicants per place. In secondary schools, biology-and-chemistry stream classes were the most sought-after, with up to five candidates per spot in some schools. Interest in medical professions such as doctor and nurse is clearly rising among young Poles.
