Spain wildfires: 70,000 people evacuated near Madrid amid record temperatures

An additional 25,000 people were evacuated from villages near Madrid threatened by wildfires, bringing the total to 70,000. The latest evacuations covered the Valle del Tietar area in Avila province and two villages in the Madrid region. Record temperatures are accelerating the spread of the blazes, according to government delegate Francisco Martin.
