Norway: almost every new car is electric — how did they do it?
Norway is the only country in the world where nearly all new cars sold are electric vehicles. Automotive industry expert Piotr Pawlak says the government relied on financial incentives rather than mandates. At the same time, financial penalties were introduced to discourage purchases of combustion-engine cars.
