Two Small Businesses Sue Trump Admin Over New Tariffs on 60 Economies

New York spice importer Burlap & Barrel and California watch retailer Collective Horology filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of International Trade challenging new tariffs of 10–12.5% on goods from 60 economies, including Canada, Mexico and the EU. The plaintiffs argue the administration unlawfully used Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 without demonstrating how each country's forced-labour policies burden U.S. commerce. The new duties took effect Friday, immediately replacing a temporary 10% global surcharge.
