Tusk calls Nawrocki's fuel windfall tax veto "shocking"; Kremlin hits back
Prime Minister Donald Tusk called it a "shocking decision" after President Karol Nawrocki referred the windfall tax on fuel companies to the Constitutional Tribunal. Presidential chief of staff Paweł Szefernaker fired back, calling Tusk "an economic dilettante." The dispute centres on a levy that was intended to redirect extraordinary profits from the fuel sector into the state budget.
