Fabiański retires — Poland's Euro 2016 hero bows out of football

Łukasz Fabiański has officially retired from professional football. The goalkeeper from Słubice was a key figure for Poland at Euro 2016, when the team reached the quarter-finals in one of the national team's greatest achievements in three decades. Coach Adam Nawałka had backed him decisively for that tournament.
