Gen. Polko: Bundeswehr presence on Poland's border is a necessity, not a threat

Former GROM commander Gen. Roman Polko sharply criticised voices opposing the presence of German soldiers on Poland's border, calling such views "total nonsense." He stressed that Poland needs German partners within NATO and warned that it is Poland's and Germany's enemies who benefit from stoking discord between the two countries. Polko urged a realistic approach to defence cooperation with the Bundeswehr.
