Bordeaux suburbs evacuated as wildfires rage across France and Spain

French authorities evacuated thousands from the Bordeaux suburbs of Le Haillan, Eysines and Merignac as wildfires showed no signs of abating on Saturday. Regional administrator Sophie Brocas announced the evacuation on X. Meanwhile in Spain, at least 65,000 people were evacuated or ordered to stay indoors. Officials warned that strong winds could worsen the fires over the weekend.
