Up to 5bn złoty sitting in forgotten bank accounts — here's how to reclaim it

Up to 5 billion złoty may be sitting in dormant Polish bank accounts, belonging to people who opened accounts and forgot about them, or to deceased individuals. Even if a bank closes an inactive account, the funds are not lost and can be reclaimed. Customers should first check whether they have a forgotten account and then apply to the bank for a payout.
