Japan's Seven & i Holdings pulls out of Żabka acquisition

Japanese retail giant Seven & i Holdings, which operates the global 7-Eleven convenience store chain, announced on Saturday it has withdrawn from a planned investment in Poland's Żabka Group. The company said it continues to look for business opportunities in Europe. The deal would have seen one of Japan's biggest retailers acquire one of Poland's largest convenience chains.
