Swiss brand On has dropped its signature open-pod "cloud" sole design from the new Cloudsurfer Hike trail shoe. The company acknowledged that the iconic detail, while eye-catching on city streets, proved problematic on hiking trails. The redesigned sole is intended to perform better on rugged terrain.
