Polish scientists to build Baltic Sea digital twin with 12.5 m złoty grant

Polish researchers have secured over 12.5 million złoty from the Polish Science Foundation to create a digital twin of the Baltic Sea under the MERMAID project. The virtual replica is intended to support shipping, port management, offshore investments and environmental protection. It is one of the first marine-scale digital twin projects in Poland.
