Scientists film ocean floor being born in rare geological event

Scientists have for the first time captured video footage of new ocean floor being created. The researchers admitted they had not dreamed of recording such a powerful geological event. The footage of a process normally hidden in inaccessible depths opens new possibilities for studying plate tectonics.
