Del Toro Bans AI From 'Pan's Labyrinth' 3D Re-Release: 'We're Protecting a Lineage of Art'

Guillermo del Toro returned to San Diego Comic-Con to announce that Pan's Labyrinth will return to cinemas on October 9 in 3D and HDR for its 20th anniversary. The director insisted on one absolute rule during the conversion process: no AI whatsoever. Del Toro said the decision was about protecting the film's artistic lineage.
