FDA Panel Clears 6 Peptides for Compounding Pharmacies

The FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee voted largely in favour of allowing six previously banned peptides to be produced by compounding pharmacies. The peptides had been unavailable through legal channels despite widespread use for purposes such as recovery, weight loss and performance enhancement. The committee's vote clears the regulatory path for their lawful compounding in the United States.
