Freddy Cannon, Rocker Behind 'Palisades Park,' Dead at 89

Freddy Cannon, nicknamed Boom Boom, a pioneer of early rock and roll known for hits including "Tallahassee Lassie" and "Palisades Park," has died at the age of 89. He recorded a string of popular songs in the 1950s and 1960s. "Tallahassee Lassie" originated as a poem written by his mother.
