Kaczyński: Morawiecki could have succeeded me but wanted to take over PiS

In an interview with Telewizja Republika, Jarosław Kaczyński revealed for the first time details behind the failed talks with Mateusz Morawiecki following the PiS split. He said Morawiecki could have been his successor but that a compromise proved impossible because the former prime minister sought to establish an independent second power centre within the party.
