Sherif beats Badosa in Hamburg; top two seeds both out

Mayar Sherif defeated Paula Badosa in three sets in the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 clay-court event in Hamburg. Neither top seed Oleksandra Olijnikova nor second seed Anhelina Kalinina will feature in the semifinals. The tournament loses both of its top-ranked players before the final stages.
