Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries have caused fuel shortages, forcing Russia to import petrol from India as an emergency measure. Videos of empty Russian fuel stations have circulated online, embarrassing the Kremlin for a country that presents itself as an energy superpower. However, analyst Dr Łukasz Gołota told Interia that current shortages do not fundamentally alter Russia's overall situation.
