Morawiecki Outlines Break from PiS in 17-Point Statement, Vows to Continue
A split has emerged in Poland's Law and Justice party (PiS), with Mateusz Morawiecki and members of the Rozwój Plus association leaving the party. The former prime minister issued a 17-point statement summarising the events leading to the break. "Today's decision ends a certain phase, but does not end our mission," Morawiecki wrote; his reference to internal "purges" is expected to anger party leader Jarosław Kaczyński.
