Bond yields hit multi-year records: German 10-year at highest in 15 years

German 10-year government bond yields have hit their highest level in 15 years, French bonds their highest since 2009, and Japanese yields continue to set new records. Analyst Emil Szweda of Obligacje.pl says the June rally and hopes of resolving market troubles have faded. Rising yields signal higher borrowing costs for governments across key markets.
