Krukowski wins Polish javelin championship, beating Wegner with his very first throw

Marcin Krukowski, Poland's javelin record holder and Warszawianka athlete, claimed the national championship gold medal with his very first throw of the competition. He defeated favourite Dawid Wegner, the youngest of Poland's top three javelin throwers and the only one currently free of injury problems. Krukowski's result confirmed his place at the upcoming European Championships.
