Hurricane Fausto strengthens to Category 2 as it approaches Hawaii

Hurricane Fausto has strengthened to a Category 2 storm while churning through the Pacific on a course toward Hawaii. Separately, Tropical Storm Bertha was moving along the Gulf Coast at the same time. Neither system had made landfall at the time of reporting.
