ZUS chief: gender pension gap is widening in Poland

Liwiusz Laska, head of Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), has warned that the gender pension gap is growing. He told Rzeczpospolita that women's lower statutory retirement age directly results in smaller pensions, as fewer years of contributions translate into lower benefits. The issue affects millions of Polish women who leave the workforce earlier than men.
