PiS Split: "From Hegemon to Also-Ran," Say Rival Politicians

Politicians from across the Polish political spectrum are reacting to the split in PiS. Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński said he personally welcomes any division within the party. Sejm Deputy Speaker Piotr Zgorzelski (PSL) assessed that PiS is losing its status as a political hegemon and becoming an "also-ran." Confederation leader Sławomir Mentzen said "both sides had no other choice" but to part ways.
