Lee Chang-dong Returns After 8-Year Gap with 'Possible Love' at Venice Competition
Korean director Lee Chang-dong is returning to cinema eight years after "Burning" with "Possible Love," selected for the Venice Film Festival main competition. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest). Chang-dong said the long gap was never about stepping away from cinema, telling Variety: "Thanks to cinema, I feel connected to something much bigger."
