ESA's planet-hunting PLATO spacecraft passes critical electromagnetic tests

ESA's PLATO spacecraft has completed a critical round of electromagnetic testing inside the Maxwell Test Chamber at the European Space Research and Technology Centre in the Netherlands. The shielded enclosure blocks electromagnetic fields to verify the probe's electronics perform correctly in space conditions. PLATO is designed to detect and study rocky, Earth-sized exoplanets beyond our solar system.
