Orcas smash giant sunfish to pieces in rare coordinated attack caught on film

Scientists filming in the Gulf of California captured orcas working together to ram and shatter ocean sunfish — among the world's largest fish — into pieces. The coordinated precision of the attack had not been seen before, even though ramming prey is a known orca technique. Researchers believe the behaviour helps younger, smaller members of the group feed more easily.
