Ireland: Two arrested after gardaí intercept sophisticated bomb near border
Ireland's Garda Síochána special detective unit stopped a vehicle on the N2 south of Carrickmacross, County Monaghan on Wednesday afternoon. Inside officers found what they described as an "extremely significant" and highly sophisticated explosive device. A man and a woman suspected of links to dissident republicans have been arrested.
