ORP Wicher to be launched in three weeks — first Miecznik-class frigate nears water

The first frigate of the Miecznik (Project 106) class, to be named ORP Wicher, will be launched on the Bay of Gdańsk in less than three weeks. The vessel is scheduled to be handed over to the Polish Navy in 2029. All three Miecznik-class frigates are being built at PGZ Naval Shipyard in Gdynia in a purpose-built assembly hall.
