China bans exports to 14 EU defence and tech firms in retaliation for sanctions
China has announced export restrictions on 14 EU defence and technology companies after the EU added 14 Chinese businesses to its Russia-related sanctions lists. Among those affected are Germany's Rheinmetall, Czech truckmaker Tatra, and Dutch naval engineering firm IHC Merwede. Beijing, which called the EU sanctions "egregious," now bars Chinese exporters from supplying these firms with dual-use goods, though licenses may be applied for in essential cases.
