Over 40 MPs leave PiS — Morawiecki among those quitting the party

Jarosław Kaczyński announced on Friday that more than 30 MPs are leaving PiS after refusing to sign a declaration required by the party leadership, with the actual list reportedly exceeding 40 names. Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is confirmed among those departing. The split represents the biggest internal crisis in PiS's history and could significantly reshape Poland's opposition landscape ahead of the 2027 elections.
