PlayStation Network down globally — Sony stays silent

PlayStation Network went down globally, even as Sony's official status page claimed all services were running normally. Down Detector recorded a massive spike in outage reports in the US, with numbers also rising in the UK. Sony has yet to issue any comment or acknowledgement.
