India's Paid Music Streaming Subscribers Could Hit 30 Million by 2028
India's paid music streaming subscriber base could grow from an estimated 14 million as of December 2025 to between 28 million and 30 million by 2028, according to a joint EY and Indian Music Industry (IMI) report released Friday in Mumbai. The report, titled "How India Listens, Streams and Pays for Music", attributes the projected growth to rising incomes and smartphone penetration. The findings highlight India as one of the world's fastest-growing music markets.
