TikTok charged with breaching EU online safety rules for children

The EU has formally charged TikTok with breaching its Digital Services Act rules on online safety for minors. Regulators allege that design features of the ByteDance-owned platform could expose children to predators or cyberbullying. It is the latest in a series of regulatory clashes between Brussels and the Chinese tech giant.
