EU threatens TikTok with fine up to 6% of global turnover over child safety

The European Commission has provisionally found that TikTok's account settings breach EU law by excessively exposing minors' content. The Chinese platform faces a fine of up to 6% of its global turnover. To avoid the penalty, TikTok must implement additional child account protections.
