German Soldiers Want Thousands of Shotguns Against Drones — Pistorius Disagrees

German military officers have formally requested the procurement of thousands of shotguns as an interim defence against drone threats, arguing that expensive systems like the Skyranger are not yet available in sufficient numbers. Soldiers say effective counter-drone action is impossible with current equipment. Defence Minister Boris Pistorius opposes the proposal.
