Deer roam central Zakopane as tourists take selfies — experts sound the alarm

Wild deer are increasingly venturing into the centre of Zakopane, appearing on pavements near residential buildings. Tourists treat the animals like pets, approaching them to take photos that go viral on social media. Police press officer Roman Wieczorek of the Zakopane district police warns the behaviour is "unimaginably irresponsible" and risks dangerous encounters with wild animals.
