Tarantino produced Iron Monkey's US release — and changed the film's fate

The 1993 Hong Kong martial arts film Iron Monkey, directed by Yuen Woo-ping and produced by Tsui Hark, received a US release in 2001 thanks to Quentin Tarantino, who served as producer. Without his endorsement, the film would likely never have reached American audiences. It went on to become one of the highest-grossing foreign-language films in US history at the time.
