Fuel prices in Europe: Germany and France most expensive, Bulgaria cheapest by ~100 PLN per tank
Fuel price differences across Europe allow travellers to save at most the equivalent of a single lunch — filling up before crossing the border still makes sense, but the gains are modest. The most expensive countries to refuel in are Germany, France, Greece and Italy, while countries such as Bulgaria offer savings of around 100 PLN per tank compared to Poland. Planning refuelling stops along a route can yield real but limited savings.
