Drunk Driver With 2.7‰ BAC and a Driving Ban Jailed for Three Months After A1 Crash
Krzysztof K., 36, was caught driving on the A1 motorway with a blood alcohol level of 2.7‰ — more than five times the legal limit — and despite a court-imposed driving ban, causing a collision with a lorry. He was initially released from the police station without charges, but after the prosecutor general intervened, the Częstochowa District Prosecutor's Office took over the case. A court has now ordered him held in pre-trial detention for three months.
