66-year-old Polish man dies after collapsing at Slovak Tatra mountain hut

A 66-year-old Polish man lost consciousness at a mountain hut in the Slovak Tatras and could not be saved despite immediate first aid from bystanders and subsequent resuscitation efforts by rescue services. Slovak mountain rescue (Horska Zahranná Služba) confirmed his death in an official statement. The cause of the collapse was not disclosed.
