Poland's patostreaming ban law takes effect on 22 August
Poland's law banning monetisation of patostreaming — livestreams built around harmful or degrading content — has been published in the Official Journal and will come into force on 22 August 2026. President Karol Nawrocki signed the legislation, which was partly driven by a Polsat News investigative series titled "No to Patocelebrities". The law aims to cut off financial incentives for creators of such content.
