Common moss behaves like a neural network, transmitting continuous electrical signals

Prof. Andy Adamatzky spent seven days monitoring cushions of the common moss Brachythecium rutabulum using miniature electrodes. The moss was found to generate continuous, organised electrical impulses far more complex than previously thought. The discovery raises the possibility that plants process information like neural networks, pointing toward future "green" biological computers.
