Indonesia's Visinema plans 'Jumbo' sequel and 'Queen of Malacca' franchise

Indonesian director Angga Dwimas Sasongko and his company Visinema are planning a sequel to the animated hit "Jumbo" and developing "Queen of Malacca" as a full franchise. The Southeast Asian fantasy epic is targeting a Q1 2027 release and is currently in post-production, drawing interest from potential distribution partners in China, Thailand and other international markets. The projects mark Indonesia's growing ambitions in global film.
