Wangchuk ends 26-day hunger strike, opening path for India government–CJP talks

Activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day hunger strike, citing the risk of violence in India as his reason for stopping. His move opens the door for negotiations between Prime Minister Modi's government and leaders of the CJP party. Protests, however, are continuing across the country.
