Ozempic and Mounjaro linked to rare eye disorder that can cause blindness

Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has warned that GLP-1 drugs used for type 2 diabetes and obesity — including Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro — have been linked to a rare but severe eye condition called NAION, which can lead to blindness. The warning follows 36 reported cases in Australia. Product information for the affected medicines has been updated with new warnings.
