Olympic Champion Kusociński Tortured by Gestapo — Betrayed Nobody

Janusz Kusociński, Poland's 1932 Olympic champion, was beaten, tortured and starved in Gestapo dungeons but refused to betray any of his underground contacts. So confident was he in his own safety that he would openly read underground press beside German soldiers in taverns. Kusociński was eventually executed by the Germans in 1940.
